Star City. By day, there were a million and one things you could do. The beaches were usually her favorite, well, when she wasn't exhausted from working her butt off to make sure she was in the best shape she could be. But by night...by night was when Star City could be considered one of those places that you might not want to live in. Probably was heading in the way of Gotham at the rate they were moving. That was one of the real reasons she'd left the Titans. Star City, as much damage it had done to her and how bad it had treated her for so long, was the only real place that felt like home to her and she wouldn't let it go to waste.
Her yellow cape blew against the wind. The view from the high-rise she now crouched on gave her the perfect view of the slimest area of the city. Letting her hood down, Mia closed her eyes, reveling in the feel of the wind against her hair. Her quiver was full of arrows, her bow at her side, ready for anything that might have come her way.
Surprisingly, even the alleys that were normally full to the brim with the scum of the city, were deserted. Shaking her head lightly, she pulled her hood up, looking down to the fire escape below. Shifting her weight, she pounced off the ledge until her feet hit steel below. After a quick look she sprang the remaining few feet to the concrete in the alley below.
Drawing her bow, she eyed her surrounding, making sure no one was planning on jumping her. If trouble wasn't going to be waiting, then she'd have to go find it. Ollie definatly wouldn't approve, but in her opinion, she had earned her stripes over the past few years. Mia clutched her bow tightly, before moving into the shadows...there was bound to be something going on tonight, and even if there wasn't, she wasn't going back to the Manor just yet.

Red adjusted his mask and inhaled slowly, he hated the smell of the ocean, and he could smell it even from atop the roof on which he was so precariously perched. He was looking for a particular vigilante whom reliable sources said was in Star City. You'd think It would be easy to find someone getting mugged in a dark alleyway in this city, I've been waiting for hours. These thugs always seem so predictable too. Red muttered to him self. Just as he finished this utterance Red Line heard the sound of breaking glass below him. What the- Red dropped down onto the street to see five men in ski mask standing in front of a broken window of the building he was just standing on. Red looked up at the name of the store and smiled under his mask, he had never noticed he was standing watch on top of a jewelry store. Red Line approached the men Come on! You can't get a little more creative than that? Robbing a jewelry store in ski mask? Did you even bring guns- wait what is that in your hand? Red Line pointed at the man closest to him A crowbar, really? Thats just sad. The man charged at Red, crowbar raised above his head, Red quickly grabbed it out of his hands and sent a round house kick to his back. Ya know, you guys never consider my feelings, I go threw all the trouble of thwarting you and just get this crap. It may be good for you, but what about my needs? This is such a one sided relationship. Red mocked as the other four men charged him and the leader recovered. I hope she shows Red thought to himself as he sent a palm thrust to another baddie's nose.

"Boring," she murmured to herself lightly as she propped herself up on another building. Of all the nights for her to get bored at the manor and sneak out to do some patrol on her own. Then she heard it. The glass breaking first. Pulling out one of her trick arrows, she aimed it at the building where she assumed the sound was coming from.
"Jewelry store...too predicatable."
As soon as her feet hit the roof of the building on the opposite side, she crouched low to get a better look. Five men, all wearing ski masks, were fighting against one man, but she wasn't certain who it was. All she knew, was that he was thwarting the thieves that she should have been.
Reaching into her quiver, she pulled out a regular arrow, rather than a trick one. Quicker than she normally would have, she adjusted it and fired at one of the men.
"Bingo," she whispered, a grin whisping at her lips as it struck the man in the hand, sending him into one of the concrete walls, a cry of pain exiting his mouth. Ducking into the shadows, Mia dived down to the concrete below to help out whoever it was.
"Seriously boys...could you possibly be any more original. Pearls really don't go with those colors..."
Quickly, she drew another arrow, aiming it at the shoulder of one of the men ready to jump her "partner." As soon as the men seemed worn down, she moved towards the man she had pinned against the wall by the hand. With a swift motion, Mia pulled off his ski mask, shaking her head lightly.
"You're boring me slug, this is what, the third...fourth jewelry store we've caught you at...You know what...Never mind...you and your men get lost. I doubt you'd want the Green Arrow catching you again...he probably would have a little less patience than me."
He nodded as she ripped out the arrow from his hand and he stumbled to the ground before running off in the opposite direction, his men in tow.
"Isn't it a little past your bedtime kid," she said quietly, her voice never stammering as she did her best to clean off the blood from the arrow, "...don't look so worried, Star City PD is down on the corner, they won't get too far."
As soon as she was satisfied, she slipped it back in her quiver, "You look a little far from home Red."
Mia still wasn't sure where she'd seen him before, but red had seemed like the thing to call him because of his entirely red mask. Interesting costume...but at least he has a few good moves. 2 years had passed since she'd returned to Star City, and a few more since her time in the Titans. It was possible that they had met in passing, but there had been so many people she'd met along the way. Propping against the wall, she adjusted her mask and hood, before replacing her bow back at her side.

That was disappointing Red Line looked at Speedy and lost all feelings of disappointment. I don't think we've ever meet face to face before, but I have been with the titans for about a year, a little after you left I believe. Lewis paused to breathe and took a book out of the bag he was carrying. This is a catalog of villains, heroes, vigilantes, just about anybody with a secret identity or super-power. I’ve been working on it since before I joined the titans and I’ve been trying to gather information on Oliver Queen, but since his whereabouts are unknown to me I came to you. Red looked up from the book in his hands So will you help me?

"A book of superheroes huh? Something like that, in the wrong hands that could be a dangerous thing don't cha think."
Speedy eyed him lightly, thinking about his question. Part of her wanted to be untrusting, as was her nature...especially when Ollie was involved. Her eyes flicked to the book for a moment.
"Oliver Queen you say? I could possibly be of some service in that department. Seeing as you're a Titan, and even as hard as it is for me to trust your motives, I'll help you."
Speedy tried to find a grin as she looked him over, "It might be a better idea if we find somewhere else to talk...especially about something like this, if you get my drift. It might be quiet now, but this is pretty rare for Star City. As soon as we're out of here, you tell me what you know and I'll see what I can do."

Sounds like a plan to me, where'd you have in mind Red smiled again You might have to wait awhile for me to change into something a little more formal Red Line began to be lead along by Speedy, and as they were walking he reached into his pocket. What you said earlier about this being dangerous in the wrong hands Red pulled out a device that looked like a flip-top lighter, but when he flipped it open there was a button inside.A tap of this and a mechanism inside that book will incinerate it from the inside out. Good for about twenty miles. Handy as long as I know the book is gone. Red was well aware that Speedy was far more experienced than he was, and he didn't want to "noob up" as the saying goes, that would hurt his efforts to elicit Mia's help.

Well at least he doesn't think like a rookie she thought to herself.
"Old warehouse...gets some use by a particulary green arrow slinging vigilante from time to time," she sighed with a grin. Looking over, Speedy eyed his costume.
"Bet that mask can be a pain, I can barely stand this one," she murmured lightly as they walked. Her eyes still flickered about the alleyways as she brought him through some of the darkest portions of the city, "There really is normally a lot more activity here, that almost concerns me. Not that I'm a violence monger or anything...never thought the baddies took holidays."
The walk was fairly short to the old abandoned warehouse that she knew the Green Arrow, with her in tow from time to time, typically used for interrogation. It was off limits and only a few had access to the building, "Alright, we're here."
She flicked a small light on, revealing nothing more than a particularly bare warehouse. A few old boxes had the markings of Queen Industries, but most were caked so severely in dust, or battered, it made the logos, and the building's former history, almost incomprehensible, "Well, your little mechanism there just saved you," she said quietly, nodding at him, "I doubt Ollie would be very happy about me sharing what I know about him with someone...especially someone I don't know all that well, but you seem like an ok guy."
She took a deep breath, before she jumped up on top of a small pile of boxes. Speedy sat down, her legs dangling over the edge, barely hovering the floor, "Oliver Queen...not much to it. Have you ever read the papers? I really didn't know all that much about him until well...he saved me. I was...in a bad situation, and he'd just...well I guess the best way to put it, had come out of his own predicament. Former billionaire, inherited the former Queen Industries from his parents who died when he was young. Got stranded on some island or something, he never really talked much about that, but that's where the whole archery thing started...Seriously, I just know the Ollie that has taken care of me. The one that forced me to clean up and start my life over. He has a rough exterior, but there's a real guy underneath all of it. Just don't tell him I said anything nice about him. I'd never hear the end of it."
She wanted to ignore the deep details, especially those of her own situation, so she set those thoughts apart. Part of her was wondering where, of all nights, the Green Arrow was. Not that it mattered, she could handle herself. But it always left her curious when he just disappeared.
"Anything in particular you want to know? I need something to work with if you want something good. Unfortunatly I'm not a mind reader..."

Oh god I hope not, I don't want to sound prejudice or anything but mind readers are A-NNOY-ING, and if you want my personal opinion kinda creepy. But I digress, the question that is I need answered the most is about where the Emerald Archer is. Red paused and looked Speedy in the eye. Red Line had asked enough invasive questions in his life to know when some one was keeping something from him. I need to tell you something that I have never shared with any one since I started jumping off of rooftops in this getup, and I need you to hear me out without thinking I'm some crazy conspiracy theorist. Red paused again but this time looked down instead of at Speedy I have good reason to believe there is a secret society dedicated to evil. While this my not surprise, the shock may come in what I tell you next. This group of super villains is better networked and connected than any have been in the past. Criminal activity thought to be erratic and unrelated to one another are actually all part of one large masterful scheme orchestrated by this group. Their numbers and cause are unclear to me but I know there is a method to their madness. Thats why I've been forming that book, to keep track of their activities, find possible connections, and see if there are any red flags sent up around heroes. I need to know Green Arrow's whereabouts because he could be in grave danger. Red Line let Speedy take all of this in and then continued his monologue You and him are two of the few heroes I know 100% are not moles or traitors somehow. I believe that Oliver Queen has the ability to protect himself but the attempt on his life and his recent disappearance concern me. Well, I guess that brings us back to the million dollar question. Where is the Green Arrow.

Her eyebrows raised a bit before she hopped down, "You're pretty serious about this aren't you?"
Her eyes looked around the emptiness of the room. Her hands trailed over one of the boxes as she traced away the dust with her gloves to reveal one of the logos; still in perfect condition, "Of course you are...alright. The truth is, I have no idea. That's the problem with Ollie, Green Arrow, whatever...sometimes, well more often then not, he works on his own agenda. If I knew exactly where he was you'd be the first to know."
She edged towards him slightly. Her own thoughts were turning now. A secret society of super villains? Crazy idea, but crazier things have happened.
"You do realize you're going to have prove whatever you discover? Because, not that I'm an expert or some kind of psychologist or something, but if you start accusing the good guys of being bad guys....I don't think it would turn out pretty."
Turning around to let her back face him, she crossed her arms across her chest, muttering her thoughts outloud to herself, barely above a whisper, "Where the hell are you Arrow?"
If what this kid was saying was true, and Green Arrow was in danger...She wouldn't let that happen. What kind of sidekick would she be without a hero to work alongside of? What would she be without Ollie? He'd saved her; given her a better life, given her a reason to live. She couldn't imagine it. She wouldn't.

Look, I don't mean to worry you for no reason, there is a good chance that he was baited away into some trap, but their is a better one he is just taking care of something personal, maybe didn't want to get you involved? I have no idea, you know him better than I do. I can tell I can trust you, so I don't need this anymore. Red opened his book and ripped out a page and set it next to Mia. Red starting making his way towards the exit Well keep you're ear to the ground, if you hear anything, or need help, you know where Titans Tower is. Red continued his way out, but stopped and beckoned to Speedy in a way that said "Are you coming?"

Mia took the page from the spot he'd left it, "Not worried, not much anyways...He's been at this whole thing a whole lot longer than I have."
Toying with her hood, she looked his way. It was almost as though he wanted her to come with him. Two years was a long time. A lot of things had changed since she'd left the Titans; probably more than she was going to like. As happy as she was to be in Star City, doing what she enjoyed...part of her was unsatisfied. Maybe she could be of more use with the Titans. If Ollie needed her, at least he'd know where to find her.
"Do you really think they'd take me back? I mean...I left right in the middle of things."
Shaking her head at her own thoughts, she edged toward him, shoving the paper that had been sitting in her hands the whole time into a pocket. Speedy managed a deep breath and moved towards him, "You have room for two back to the Tower Red?"

Ha-ha! the more the merrier I always say, or at least I will from now on. Nightwing wouldn’t have any problem with it I’m sure, and we always are a little behind on members. Not to mention how dangerous the current situation is, we need all the help we can get. Being a former Titan all you have to do is ask. Red Line walked to the door And besides, if you learn anything about Green Arrow I'll be right there! well that settled Speedy. Red Line was glad to have Speedy along, but still anxious about the location of Oliver Queen. Red felt unsatisfied with the outcome of his investigation so far, but there were other things he needed to look into, Who is Onomatopoeia, I don't know where Herald is, and have no info on whats happened to Cyborg and I've heard rumors of some character called "Libra" involved with this mess Lewis needed to know what was going on and he knew he was bitting of more than he could chew.
